first_time momz- the gender

I am expecting a baby girl... #wow it brings tears to my eyes just thinking how cute and much of a diva and drama queen she's gna be... just like her mommy hehe!!!

Name choices! There are so many to hoose from mommians... just remember.that the name is life long so you don't want to regret the name u chose at the end of the day... Do chose a name that both you and the father of the baby likes... doing such things together is always a winner!!!! And if you really want to have your wat....your reasoning for the name should be convincing, as men always want to have their way "hehe" ..

ZIVAH ROSE ... I'm sure you dying to know why and what the meaning is behind the name:

Well for those who know me well will know that my BEST FRIEND Zeeneth has always had a positive influence in my life... Nothing could ever come between us ... not even mass destruction could get between us... as we "stick like glue"...

So that's where the name Zivah came from... I shouldn't forget to mention that she name her second daughter, my Godchild after me - Zaylia "Chaè" _ deriving from Charmonè ...

         HOW CUTE IS SHE??????????

We always made a pact that one day we will name our kids after each other and they will be best friends just like we were and still are today ..  and look at how God blessed us to have babies rather very close to each other..

I am seriously sending Zivah off to big school early so she can be in one class with Zaylia... HAHA , just like Zeenie nd I were... and to top it all off Zee was also a year older than me...

Anyway... let me get back to the point, the name Zivah Rose:
It means radiance, brilliance and light of God....  and her second name derives from her grand mothers name Rosaline.... it is an Islamic name... but who cares? it's beautiful..hehe

I love my name choice I think it's unique and just sooooooo CHARMZICALZ #Godislove #peace

Name: Zivah Rose
Due Date: 9/08/15
And she is healthy...

first_time momz - tips & traditions from family

          #peek-a-boo... and there (he/she) is...

#seeing the cousins for the first time after the big news!!!

Oh boy!! Now one thing you should know is that I have a huge, crazy and nosy family " hahaha" what else is there to do but to love them...

So it was at a braai at  my cousin Nicole's house I realized I am really becoming an old lady..."lol" .. I couldn't find myself having as much fun I use to.. as it was the nausea, headaches and tiredness getting to me.
I must say though, I could stay up until 1 am sipping on juice whole night... it can be done with my crazy fam..
Being surrounded by the cousins and their kids brought me to the realization that I was actually going to be a Mommy within the next few months...
The kids seemed a bit weird about "aunty charms" having a baby in her belly... haha the look on Abigails face though!

It struck me that I was no longer just the cool aunty, I was actually going to have the responsibility of instilling discipline, rules and nurturing my own offspring....

Overwhelming I must just add!!!!
I 've been told, charmz I am so happy for you, you've always wanted to be a single mom... Yes I still want that but it's going be hard having to give that lil baby my attention 24/7....
With the help of my parents I know it won't be as tough in the beginning..

Well mommians....enough with the pep talk... So I tell my cousin I am not sure of the gender... and she asks me; what symptoms do I have...So I have the following I tell her:

1. I am extra horny..
2. I like salty snacks
3. I have extra dry skin and hair
4. I lost an excessive amount of weight prior and during pregnancy

So she's like: oh charmz it's a girl!  As with her girl, she experienced the exact same symptoms and with her boy the total opposite, she didn't want her hubby to come near her...oh but I cracked myself... poor hubby!!! "Haha"

I didn't want to excite myself too much though, I was rather preparing myself for the ultrasound that would be able to identify the gender.... those are just myths... and who knows I might be expecting a lil boi... #bigdream ........ #peace

first_time momz - morning sickness!!!

#tips to handle #morningsickness

OMG!!! I literally had the worst of worst experiences with the (morning sickness) ..

Here are a few tips to take the nausea away:

1. Ask your pharmacist for pregnant friendly medication...
I got myself a nausea syrup called EMEX SYRUP... it's available at all pharmacies in S.A

2. Eating is extremely important during early stages of your pregnancy therefore:
Eat the following- salty cracks, provitas, cream crackers, dry toast or toast with marmite       along with black tea (rooibos tea or English tea) I preferred the strawberry and vanilla           rooibos kiddies flavored tea...theeee best..

3. Make ginger juice - helps minimize the nausea

4. Continue nibbling on something you like...

5. Eat fruits and drink a lot of water..

This really helped me minimize the nausea

#telling the #loved #ones

When you are married I am sure it is so much easier telling the folks that they have been promoted from being great parents to grandparents....

... well mommians... I ain't married so.. picture the amount of stress I was dealing with for two months before breaking the news...
It wasn't exactly much fun withholding the news during Christmas and New year's...

Hey eventually after my holiday I told the folks... emotions were running high and I felt like it was time to close the deep dark hole I was in...

#funny #enough the next day everything was FINE!!! Once the loved ones know, you will feel a huge amount of support hitting you from all directions...

Yes! You'll get mixed reactions , yet focus on the positive ones... as they need to get over themselves and accept the news someday... coz the baby aint going anywhere... hehehe. :)

For once I felt like I could embrace my pregnancy....

First_time momz

The #unexpected #surprise

Most women determine that they are pregnant if they are sexually active and have missed a period. Nausea, breast soreness, and fatigue are also common symptoms in early pregnancy. How I found out I was pregnant was a change in feeling during sex (tight and sensitive) ... something told me, get a pregnancy test... who knows..... as I skipped my period, and it bothered me! And to my surprise... ooohhh weeeee 2-3 weeks along!!!! #whattttttttt???? #yes that was my reaction...

Ultrasound or pregnancy tests are the only ways to immediately be sure that you are pregnant.
You can do a pregnancy test from the first day you missed your expected period and onwards. The doctor can tell a woman exactly how long she has been pregnant. The doctor can also estimate the length of the pregnancy without using ultrasound. A pregnancy test cannot provide this information.
A woman can also make a reasonable calculation of about how long she has been pregnant. She must figure out when the first day of her last menstrual period was, include that day and start counting up until today.
I must admit tho... I was scared, I felt lost and clueless as to what I am going to do with this information.... I soon realized after my first Ultrasound ...
ITS TRUELY A BLESSING!!!

I want to tell all first_time moms... feeling confused is a normal reaction... take time out to think what suits ur life situation best and wait a while before telling loved ones whether it be your immediate and extended family...
